Alexander Laban Hinton
Alexander Laban Hinton is an American cultural anthropologist known for his extensive research on genocide, particularly the Cambodian genocide under the Khmer Rouge. He is a distinguished professor at Rutgers University–Newark and has authored or edited numerous works exploring the cultural, political, and psychological dimensions of mass violence and human rights. Hinton's scholarship draws on ethnographic fieldwork and critical theory to illuminate the local dynamics and global legacies of atrocities.
