Benjamin Perkins
Benjamin Franklin Perkins was a self-taught American painter and preacher born in Alabama in 1904. After working in mills and mines and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he preached in rural Virginia for more than a decade before turning to painting, where his bold, symbolic works reflected his religious faith and personal vision.
