Bruce Manning Metzger
Bruce Manning Metzger (1914–2007) was an American biblical scholar and professor at Princeton Theological Seminary, best known for his expertise in New Testament textual criticism and his role in creating major English translations such as the Revised Standard Version and the New Revised Standard Version. His influential works, including The Text of the New Testament and A Textual Companion to the Greek New Testament, shaped modern biblical scholarship.
