David F. Anderson

David F. Anderson is a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in numerical methods for stochastic models in biology and the mathematical theory of biological interaction networks[1]. He received his Ph.D. from Duke University in 2005 and his B.A. in Mathematics from The University of Virginia in 2000[1]. Anderson has authored two books and over 25 peer-reviewed research publications, and was awarded the inaugural IMA Prize in Mathematics and its Applications in 2014[1][2].
