David G. Mandelbaum

David G. Mandelbaum (1911-1987) was an American anthropologist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He focused on South Asian societies, particularly India, and authored notable works such as 'Society in India' and 'The Human Context of India.' His research bridged cultural anthropology and sociology, and he served as president of the American Anthropological Association.
