Dorothy Kunhardt

Dorothy Kunhardt (1901–1979) was an American children's-book author and historian, best known for the bestselling classic *Pat the Bunny* published in 1940[2][3]. She was also a distinguished scholar on Abraham Lincoln, writing works such as *Twenty Days* about his assassination[1][5]. Over her career, she published more than forty books in three decades and was recognized as a dynamic force in American children's literature[2][8].
