Gerhard Endress

Gerhard Endress was a German orientalist and historian of Islamic philosophy, renowned for his scholarship on the transmission of Greek thought into Arabic and the development of Arabic philosophical terminology. He served as professor at Ruhr University Bochum and contributed extensively to the study of classical Islamic intellectual history.
