Hierocles

Hierocles of Alexandria was a 5th-century Neoplatonist philosopher known for his commentary on the Golden Verses of Pythagoras. He studied under Plutarch of Athens and later taught in Alexandria, focusing on ethics and theurgy. His works survive only in fragments but influenced later Byzantine thought.
