Irwin Unger

Irwin Unger was an American historian and professor best known for his work on the history of the United States, particularly the Gilded Age and Progressivism. He authored numerous books, including 'These United States' and 'The Greenback Era', and received the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1965. Unger taught at several universities and was a prominent figure in the field of American historical studies.
