Jacques Rivette

Jacques Rivette was a French film director and critic, a key figure of the French New Wave. Known for his improvisational style and lengthy, labyrinthine narratives, his acclaimed works include Céline and Julie Go Boating and La Belle Noiseuse. He was also a prominent editor at Cahiers du Cinéma.
