Jimmie Lewis Franklin

Jimmie Lewis Franklin was an American historian and educator, specializing in African American history and the history of the American South. He wrote several books on the social and cultural experiences of Black Americans, focusing particularly on the twentieth century. He served as a professor at Vanderbilt University and contributed significantly to the scholarship of African American studies.
