Joel Whitburn

Joel Whitburn was an American author and music historian best known for creating authoritative reference books that documented Billboard chart history across pop, country, R&B, hip-hop, and dance music. He founded Record Research in 1970 and wrote nearly 300 books, becoming a leading figure in music chart research.[1][2][3]
