Laila M. Dawson

Layla Dawson (born Layla Shah, 1949–2015) was a British architect, architecture critic, and freelance novelist based in Hamburg, Germany. She worked as an architect and project manager across Hong Kong, the Middle East, and the UK from 1975 to 1989, later serving as a senior lecturer in architecture at Hong Kong Polytechnic before becoming a novelist and critic.
