Ludek Pachman

Luděk Pachman was a Czech-German chess grandmaster, chess writer, and political activist. He became known both for his strong over-the-board play and for his anti-communist activism after the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, later settling in West Germany and writing extensively on chess.
