Marc Rochkind
Marc J. Rochkind is a computer scientist and author who invented the Source Code Control System while working at Bell Labs from 1970 to 1982, and wrote the 1985 book Advanced UNIX Programming, the first to explain programming the UNIX kernel[1][2]. He founded XVT Software in 1988, the first tool for developing portable GUI applications, and currently writes both fiction and non-fiction books while developing iOS, MacOS, and Windows apps[1][2].
