Miguel Angel Asturias
Miguel Angel Asturias was a Guatemalan novelist, poet, and diplomat who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1967. He is best known for his novel 'El Señor Presidente' (1946), which explores dictatorship, and his use of magical realism, drawing on Maya mythology and indigenous culture. His works, such as 'Hombres de maíz' (1949), were highly influential in Latin American literature.
