Paula Danziger was an American author of children's and young adult books, known for her humorous and heartfelt stories that address real-life issues such as family, friendship, and self-discovery. She began her career as a teacher before publishing her debut novel, 'The Cat Ate My Gymsuit' (1974), which became a classic. Throughout her career, she wrote over 30 books, including 'The Pistachio Prescription' and 'Amber Brown' series, and died before these works, but they remain widely read.
