William J Long

William J. Long (William Joseph Long) was an American writer, naturalist, and minister best known for his early 20th-century nature books and essays. He served as a minister in Stamford, Connecticut, and wrote more than 20 books, including *School of the Woods*, *Secrets of the Woods*, and *Brier-Patch Philosophy*.
